Quick history!

I’ve had people asking about what I’ve been doing since the site went down, so I’ll give a history.

I was working for Siebel Systems when the buyout by Oracle was announced.  I trained my replacements in India and started working on new projects inside Oracle.  However, I found the general work environment in Oracle even more hostile than Siebel, so I set out on my own.

For the next 3-4 months, I played World of Warcraft and did contract work, but mostly WoW.  I never did beat my record of playing for 36 hours straight, but I had several consistant days of 12-16 hours of straight WoW.  I laid off the games a bit when I was doing contract work, then much more so when I got a job with the government in October.

Before quitting WoW, I needed webspace for my guild, so I rented a server and just like that, the Monkey returns. :)

How to quit your job in one year

I certainly know how to quit in 2 weeks… but a year?

Welcome back, Monkey!

Well, the look and feel isn’t what I want it to be, but that’s something I can adjust later.  The monkey is back up and running!

I took a year off due to video game addiction, but it’s not so much of an addiction anymore as I can quit anytime I want.  Let me just finish this quest.

opps!

The picture above is someone who took a 45 degree turn off a snowy road. Opps.
